I am overweight but that is not who I am or what I use to define me. I am on a path to locate my authentic self. I hope this conversation can be use to love and encourage each other to keep going for the 30 days. Why? Because you are worth it. Namaste
Thanks for the motivation Amanda. I had a spinal fusion last year and it still tends to hold me down. I hope these videos can keep me on track. Good luck to you!
@Amanda and @Crystal good luck to you both. Please let us know about your progress.
@Paula Rosenberg thank you!! I have felt great after doing the videos.
Amanda and Crystal, you two sound awesome. yoga healed me in so many ways, I know it will heal you too!
Everyone, this is so encouraging. I am up to day 8 but repeating videos as I go to make up an hour asana practice. With love and an open heart I am being kind to myself throughout. I also have the dharma yoga wheel and it is so helpful. I had a significant hip injury and never thought I would get the range of motion back that I am starting to see. Yoga is about more than poses and I am really enjoying my path so far!
Today I did the day 4 beginner back bend session. I was very nervous with all of my back surgeries I've had. To my surprise it was wonderful for me. I will be doing this over and over, I feel it will really help with my back trouble. Keep pushing forward yogis!
Crystal how is it going?
Anyone else doing multiple videos in a day, repeating earlier ones?
So 4 days passed that I did not log in and boy did I miss it. Anyone else struggle to hit the mat everyday? I am recommitting to myself: practice everyday, no excuses. I am worth it and you are too.
I am up to day 12 repeating earlier videos as I go but I find that the more chaotic/hectic my life gets my yoga practice is the first thing I drop. No longer. I am recommitting to getting on my mat everyday. What is great so far is the fact these videos are short so on my busier days I can always find 15 minutes! I hope everyone else is enjoying their journey as I am. It doesn't have to be perfect.
@Amanda I know what you mean. When I get busy, letting go of personal projects and me time like exercising is the first thing I seem to cut. I'm trying to be better about not doing that. What helps me is trying to do Yoga in the AM before I get ready for the day. That's what I love about these series. If I can't make it to the gym or fit in a run because it's getting dark earlier, at least I can get some workout in and start my day on a high note.
I'm glad you're finding ways to fit in this time for yourself, I know it's hard.
@Amanda I'm sorry I'm just writing you back. I haven't done the videos in a month. I started back today. Thank you for your support. When I get the email alert that someone has left a comment it pushes me to get back on my mat. Good luck and keep up the good work!
Money has been tight so I have not purchased any of the videos but I will ask for these for Christmas.
Oh my goodness this Beginner Challenge is exactly what I have been yearning for. After just a few days I have learned so much about yoga, about my body and my inner self. I hope everyone discovers peace through the practice of these videos.
@Deanne I hope Santa is good to you.
